BULLDOG MISSING - GENEROUS REWARD. Sicklerville, NJ

My name is Cindy Rogers and I need your help! My 1 year old female Bulldog has been missing since Christmas Eve morning.

She was last seen getting into a dark gray BMW suv or similar type vehicle around 11:00 am on Sicklerville Rd in Sicklerville.

I have contacted the police, area animal hospitals and shelters. I've posted a huge sign at my mailbox for her return. Fliers have been posted all around the Sicklerville area as well. I've put a notice on Facebook, Myspace and Craig's List. I'm attaching a photo of her that was taken on our way to the Octo-Bull-Fest this past Halloween. You may recall my son Gregory, who has Down's Syndrome as your unofficial helper at that event. Needless to say he is very upset as we all are.

Her name is Lola, she is white a brindled and has a very distinctive "cherry eye" on the right eye. Please post her picture where you can.

We just want her home, NO QUESTIONS ASKED! GENEROUS REWARD will be provided!!

If you have any information on Lola please call (215) 514-9818, (856) 340-9155 or email HSRescue@aol.com.

Thank you for your help.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM HSBR!

A Dog's Christmas Poem
by Shel Silverstein

Tonight's my first night as a watchdog,
And here it is Christmas Eve.
The children are sleepin' all cozy upstairs,
While I'm guardin' the stockin's and tree.

What's THAT now . . . footsteps on the rooftop?
Could it be a cat or a mouse?
Who's THIS down the chimney?
A thief with a beard - And a big sack for robbin' the house?

I'm barkin'. . . I'm growlin' . . . I'm bitin' his butt.
He howls and jumps back in his sleigh.
I scared his strange horses, they leap in the air.
I've frightened the whole bunch away.

Now the house is all peaceful and quiet again,
The stockin's are safe as can be.
Won't the kiddies be glad when they wake up tomorrow . . .
And see how I've guarded the tree.

Tank, Honoray Bulldog, Needs a Home

TANK IS POSTED AS A COURTESY TO A FRIEND - WE'RE ALL TRYING TO HELP THIS OLD BOY FIND HIS FUR-EVER HOME.
This is what she told us: I met Tank this week and I am hoping that we can all help him find his fur-ever home. Tank is an intact male Pitbull, about 55#, and probably 11-13 years old. HIS OWNER MOVED OUT OF THEIR APT AND LEFT HIM BEHIND!! A kindly neighbor has taken in Tank temporarily. He can not have a dog but wanted to give Tank a chance and not bring him to the shelter. So times a wasting... (TANK WILL HAVE TO BE NEUTERED IN ORDER TO BE ADOPTED).

Tank loves people. He had no reaction to strangers approaching even strangers with umbrellas. I will be honest, Tank has no leash manners but he was also being walked on a harness so throw a easy walk harness on this boy and you'll be golden! I poked and prodded this boy over and over and he had no reaction. I manipulated all of his legs with no reaction. He has no sensitivity to his paws or ears being handled. His teeth have seen better days but a better diet might be able to help with that. He has lost a bit of muscle mass throughout his body but he is getting older and was probably not properly exercised throughout his life. His nails could also use a trimming. He had no problem letting me force him into sits and other positions. He took food so gently from my hand and appeared to have no issues taking or leaving food on the ground. So happy he did so well with all of this...

Next he got to see my dog... Tank was very excited to see my female Rottie but showed no aggression. He was at the end of his leash barking but my dog had no reaction to this. After walking for a bit, Tank finally calmed down enough and I allowed him to sniff my dog's butt. Ahhhh! Success! Both dogs walked calmly next to each other. All Tank needed was to calm himself a bit. There was no problem with face to face greetings either.

Personally I think he would do well in a home with another balanced dog, probably female, unsure about males ( unfortunately I didn't have my male with me at the time). Probably not a good match for a home with cats. Although I don't know. He no reaction to the squirrels running around. He does know commands so brushing up on the training couldn't hurt. He would settle into just about any home that gave him a set routine and some exercise.

The man who has him now is in Rutherford, NJ. He said that he gave Tank a pillow to sleep on and he prefers to be covered with a blanket. Help me give this boy a chance, please!

Can you help??? Pass this info along. Please. He may be up there in years but this boy has a great spirit. HSRESCUE@AOL.COM

Dolly is a real sweetheart!

After she found herself in a local shelter, Dolly began her search for her FUR-ever home with HeavenSent Bulldog Rescue. Dolly is looking for a home either with other dogs or without - she doesn't mind either way. Dolly loves walks but also enjoys a nice snooze in a warm blanket on a cold winter day.

DOLLY is approximately 5 years old and a very easy-going girl. She adores food but has to go easy on the treats to stay healthy and keep her figure. DOLLY's eyes were a mess when we first got her, but they're being treated with medicine now, and before she is adopted she'll have her follow-up with the opthamologist to determine whether or not she needs surgery to make her more comfortable. (The surgery will be covered by the rescue, if needed, before her adoption is finalized.)

DOLLY is completely house-trained and has great manners. She'd make a wonderful addition to anyone's family. DOLLY's adoption will be limited to the New Jersey, Southeastern PA, Delaware and Northern Maryland area.

For information about Dolly or ANY of our adoptable dogs, please visit us at the HeaventSent Bulldog Rescue Official Website. For an application, please visit our Bulldog Adoption Online Application.

LESS THAN A WEEK LEFT TO VOTE TEAM BULLDOG

CONTEST ENDS DECEMBER 16th! PLEASE HURRY AND VOTE. GET YOUR FRIENDS TO VOTE!!
A joining of resources by Southern California Bulldog Rescue, HeavenSent Bulldog Rescue and Love-A-Bulldog Rescue.

Greetings!

We want to win a contest for $10,000 awarded to the shelter program that get's the most votes from supporters over the next couple weeks. This is a nationwide contest with some very large and famous animal shelters entering this contest...and we have a good chance of placing in the top spot.

To succeed 'we need your vote', a spouse, friend, neighbor, co-worker or anyone else that understands your concern for bulldog rescue and will lend a few seconds of their time to cast their personal vote too.

'Three Bulldog Rescue Programs With One BIG Dream'

As small regional bulldog rescue programs we are wise enough to know that none of us alone stand much of a chance in these 'large nationwide fund raising contests', with so many much larger rescues dominating these contests.

But we are confident enough that the bulldog community is strong enough to join together 'as one' to share in the winning of one of these contests. There are examples of this in past, as just this last year we placed in the top following much the same plan.

This time around in this contest, HeavenSent Bulldog Rescue, Love-A-Bulldog Rescue and Southern California Bulldog Rescue, will all to focus all our voting efforts to 'one voting account' with one goal in mind for us to win as a group and ultimately sharing the winning pot.

Thank your for your continued support and votes!

Brutus FKA Champ

Champ was adopted in July 2008 and re-named Brutus. Now, due to circumstances that have NOTHING to do with him, he finds himself homeless. He is good with all people, all dogs and cats, too. Nicknames: Champ-y! Expected Adult Size: Already reached adult size - approx 60 pounds of perfect!
Arrival Story: Champ was a stray before he came into rescue.
