Don't Forget About The Calendar Contest!!

The most "Ador-A-Bulldog Calendar' contest is a collaboration of bulldog owners, bulldog rescue programs, veterinarians and other lovers of the bulldog breed to raise funds for rescue programs. Our goals include finding the most 'adorable bulldogs' so that we can include these bulldogs as the 'pin-up winners' and produce a calendar for 2010 that reflects all that we love about our bulldog companions.

We want your submissions of photographs, participation in the voting process and purchase of a calendar to help make this a successful contest. Remember that 100% of all the proceeds will go to further support bulldog rescue programs in your own community and work to a time when there are no more homeless bulldogs.

Lastly, we ask that everyone have a good time photographing their bulldog and being able to share their best 'ador-a-bull' photos for others to enjoy. Important Dates to Remember: * Photo submissions July 1, 2009 to August 15, 2009. * Voting Until August 30, 2009 Midnight Eastern Standard Time * Winners announced by September 15, 2009. * Calendars completed and delivered by November 1, 2009.

Simba is a Big Hunk of Love!

Hi, I'm SIMBA and I'm quite the looker! Everywhere I go, people want to meet me, and I want to meet them, too!! I am just learning how to walk on a leash and I have lots of ENERGY!!

Even though my parents got divorced and I ended up homeless, I am a happy, wiggly, rambunctious boy! I sometimes don't know my own strength - my foster family says that I am a little jumpy but very eager to please! I will learn quickly if someone will give me a chance. I'm really a baby - only 3 years old - and no one ever taught me much. I am housetrained, though. I'm good with the child in my foster famly but I would always have to be supervised because I don't know my own strength. I'd probably do well with some kids 10 and up who would like playing with me in our nice fenced yard...I can just see it now!!

I got neutered yesterday (THAT wasn't too much fun) and I had a cherry eye repaired - I'm up to date on my shots and ready for my FUR-ever home! I would love a home with a yard where I can run and play with my people and burn some of my puppy-like energy (not when it's really hot out though - even thought I'm a little over-the-top I'm still a bulldog after all and not heat-tolerant!)

I'm 63 pounds of muscle and a big hunk of love!

Hi! I'm Gordon

Hello everyone, my name is Gordon. I am a handsome boy if I do say so myself. Before the girls at Heavensent came to get me my life was pretty boring. I had to stay in a kitchen by myself and I never really hung out with my humans.

I am 3 years old and am learning everyday to be part of a family. My foster family is really working hard with me. I get grumpy sometimes so I am hoping to find someone who is able to train me cause I am real smart!

I am just recovering from a tail infection and they put me on a diet, not enjoying that cause boy I love my treats! But they say I will feel better if I lose weight so I will deal with it.

Can you open your heart and home to help Gordon learn how to love? Applicants should be willing to train Gordon. Also his placement will be strictly NO CHILDREN. Demonstrated bulldog experience is required.

Gordon's adoption will be limited to the New Jersey, Southeastern PA, Delaware and Maryland area. For information about Gordon, or ANY of our adoptable dogs, please visit us at the HeaventSent Bulldog Rescue Official Website.

Pebbles Update!

PEBBLES UPDATE: Pebbles has come such a long way in foster care. Her health condition is almost healed! This little girl has been through so much, but has never been anything but cheerful. We guess these past few months have been the most pain free time in her life. She has never had a cranky day, if we could all just be more like her, the world would be a better place! She's a very grateful girl, and she likes to show it with alot of sloppy kisses.

PEBBLES is a star where ever she goes, everybody makes a fuss over her and the vet's office looks forward to her visits! And boy does she love attention! She loves to go out and about, she gets excited when she sees her harness and leash. She loves car rides and short walks around town. And when she's home she just loves to lounge around. She follows her foster mom and dad around and likes to lay and sleep right next to them.

For some reason, this angel has still not found just the right home. She is very easy to please - her only personality flaw is that she's bossy with other animals so she needs to be the only pet. PEBBLES may do okay with a submissive male that lets her boss him around. And her adoptive home will need to keep an eye on her peri-anal condition for a little more time, but HeavenSent Bulldog Rescue will continue to cover any related costs.

Pebbles has had a very rough start and deserves someone that can make that all up to her. She will thank you everyday with those adoring eyes and sloppy kisses.

Pebble's adoption will be limited to the New Jersey, Southeastern PA, Delaware and Maryland area. For information about Pebbles, or ANY of our adoptable dogs, please visit us at the

Lola Needs Help!

My name is Lola, affectionately known as “LoLo” - I am an Olde English Bulldogge and my story is quite sad. I am really looking for someone VERY special who wants to be with just me!

I spent my whole life in a cage where someone very inexperienced used me to breed. They never let me come out and be with people my whole life! They finally got sick of me because I was no longer able to do what they wanted me to do and they gave me away! What an overwhelming day that was for me. I felt like I was sprung free but it made me very confused.

It seems like there are a lot of nice people out there but I am just getting used to all of that. So much for me to learn but I am really trying. I been living with a foster family and I am really starting to like it!! I think I have decided I want to be with a very quiet household with someone who can teach me how great it is to be loved and part of a family. Right now I am in school and I am really excited to graduate because I will bring my diploma with me!!! I also will be able to go back to school if my new mommy or daddy need some training too! They tell me I will even have my own training video. I have not been out here long, but I think this makes me a movie star!!

If you are looking to rescue a dog down on her luck, Lola is your girl. She will have completed obedience training! Lola will take some time to warm up, but when she does she is VERY grateful! Lola would do best with a single person or couple who have experience in dog training. After what she has been through, she needs someone who can teach her to enjoy life as a happy dog… We are looking for a somone to help her after she graduates from training.. Lola will only be placed in a no kids, no dogs, no cat household…

Can you open your hearts to give this girl her second chance at life???

Lola's adoption will be limited to the New Jersey, Southeastern PA, Delaware and Maryland area. For information about Lola, or ANY of our adoptable dogs, please visit us at the HeaventSent Bulldog Rescue Official Website.
